Although the temperature lately doesn’t feel like summer, summer will be here before we know it and so now is the time to prepare for summer activities. Activities such as summer camps, vacations, and even money making opportunities for that teenager at home.

The Little Ones:

The most pressing to-do on your to-do list should be finding activities for your little ones for the summer. Camps are limited this year and the amount of children that can attend is limited as well. To keep from spending a lot of money on a summer camp now is the time to do your search and secure your spot. If you are not proactive you could end up having your own in home summer camp with your children.

Vacation:

Believe it or not this is the perfect time to plan your summer vacation. If you plan it now you are going to save a lot of money. This week alone I have seen $200 flights to multiple Caribbean islands. $300 flight to Tokyo, Paris, and Ireland. There are deals on flights and hotels, but you need to act soon before the prices go back up. Nothing would feel better than to have your July vacation planned out in April!

Time To Contribute:

Summer is the perfect opportunity for your teenagers to start pulling their weight financially. With school being out in the summer if they are at home they are going to eat up more food and increase your utility costs. To keep this from happening help your teenager land a job this summer. This will help you save on your monthly bills and give them money that they can save for the future. Now is the time to get ready for the summer!

Other ways to stay in the know when it comes to your finances!
